Funeral arrangements set for school leader Dr. Bill Bosher

RICHMOND, Va. — Dr. Bill Bosher, who at various times in his career served as superintendent for both Henrico County and Chesterfield County School districts will be laid to rest Friday afternoon, according to his online obituary.

Visitation with family will be Thursday, December 4, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Fairmount Christian Church, 6502 Creighton Rd., Mechanicsville, Va. 23111, where a service will be held Friday, December 5, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to the Onward Building Campaign at Fairmount Christian Church, P.O. Box 788, Mechanicsville, Va. 23111.

Dr. Bosher, who passed away in his sleep Sunday at the age of 68,  was born in Richmond and attended Lee Davis High School in Hanover, according to the obituary.

Dr. Bosher devoted his professional life to the education of young people across Virginia. He was a teacher, principal, school superintendent and college professor. He was an elder for many years at Fairmount Christian Church and served on numerous corporate, nonprofit and government boards. Above all other things, Dr. Bosher was a devoted son, husband, brother, father, grandfather and servant of God.

Bosher is survived by his wife of 47 years, his mother, three children and seven granddaughters. Condolences left in the comment section below will be shared with the Bosher family.
