WASHINGTON, D.C.  — WJLA reports that two armed young men have kidnapped a man.

D.C. Metropolitan police told WJLA that the man was forced into the trunk of his car.

The victim freed himself, after the kidnappers got into a traffic accident, according to Lt. John McDonald.

“After the accident, the suspects made good their escape on foot and the complainant was also able to exit the trunk,” McDonald said to WJLA.

Police described the suspects as black youths, both approximately 6’ tall. One suspect wore a Helly Hansen jacket and pants and was armed with a handgun.

Police have not given a motive yet.
