CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — George Huguely, the former University of Virginia student who killed his ex-girlfriend during a drunken rage, will not have his conviction thrown out. The Virginia Supreme Court denied Huguely’s appeal, according to court records.
In March, the state Court of Appeals aldo rejected Huguely’s request for a new trial.
Huguely was found guilty of second- degree murder for killing Yeardley Love in 2010, and was later sentenced to 23 years in prison.
