Bicyclist struck in Chesterfield, car driver faces charges

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. –A cyclist was hit at the intersection of Hensley and Springford Roads in Chesterfield County, according to witnesses.

The driver of the car told CBS 6 reporter Jon Burkett that she never saw the cyclist. She said the cyclist hit her hood and knocked her side driver side mirror off, and that was the first time she saw him.

Chesterfield County police said the driver is facing charges.

The bicyclist is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.

      Ron..Why so anti bike? Is it because you were never taught how to ride a bike when you were a kid…its never too late to learn, even for you!

    BICYCLIST often cut in front of other vehicles and hold up the flow of traffic….yet when they are injured it is of course always someone else’s fault……Shame on the ones who make it hard for the cyclist who obey the laws.
