Investigators work to pinpoint cause of Henrico County house fire

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Fire damaged a home along the 8200 block of Franconia Road in northern Henrico Thursday morning. No one was hurt in the fire which forced three adults from the house.

“The fire was extinguished shortly after arrival and crews marked the situation under control at 9:21 a.m.,” Henrico County Fire spokesman Capt. Daniel Rosenbaum said. “There was minor fire and smoke damage done to the residence.”

The American Red Cross is helping the fire victims find a new place to live.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The fire started in the home bedroom/den area, Rosenbaum said.
