CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — A Chesterfield County voter sent an email to the CBS 6 Newsroom that questioned the timing of a road project performed on Election Day.

“The photo was taken this morning on Charter Colony Parkway in Chesterfield County. I was on my way to vote at Midlothian High School and could not believe that there was a road paving job on Election Day!” she wrote. “I was held up for 10 minutes, but lost all patience and turned around to drive in the paving muck to get back to Route 60. From there I could back track to get to the polls and voted, but I was infuriated!”

She thought a better decision would have been to block Charter Colony and put up detour signs to LeGorden Drive?
