DALLAS – Dallas nurse Amber Vinson no longer has Ebola.

“We are overjoyed to announce that, as of yesterday evening, officials at Emory University Hospital and the Centers for Disease Control are no longer able to detect virus in her body,” her family said in a statement.

However, the 29-year-old nurse is still receiving treatment and is expected to be reunited with her family.

Vinson, a nurse at Texas Health Presbyterian, contracted the virus while caring for Liberian Thomas Eric Duncan — the first Ebola patient in the U.S. who died from the virus on October 8th.

Nurse Nina Pham, who was also caring for Duncan, contracted the virus as well.  There is no update on her condition at this time.
