Bishop’s chair, church pews, and altar missing after Chesterfield church break-ins

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — Police are looking for the people who broke into two church Chesterfield churches and stole multiple items from inside.

A bishop’s chair and church pews were taken from St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, at 5155 Iron Bridge Road, during a September, 28, 2014, break-in.

A few days later, on October 3, someone broke into the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer on Winterfield Road and stole church furniture, including an altar and a candle-holder.

"While it remains unclear whether these cases are related, Chesterfield detectives are asking for the public's help with locating the stolen items and identifying the suspect or suspects in these cases," Chesterfield Police said.
