CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Video shows a hawk flying over a park in Massachusetts attacking a drone and causing the device top drop from the sky Wednesday.
Christopher Schmidt said he was flying a Quad Copter equipped with a GoPro camera at the Magazine Beach Park in Cambridge when the hawk attacked the device.
Schmidt wrote that the hawk was not injured throttled down the device “to minimize any harm to the bird.”
The Google software engineer wrote that the hawk “wasn’t too happy with my invasion of his airspace.”
The drone was also unscathed.
