Five accused of shoplifting from Midlothian Turnpike stores

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. –Five people are accused of shoplifting from several stores in a shopping center on Midlothian Turnpike are facing felony charges Thursday night.

Police were called after Kohl’s workers dialed 911 after one of the suspects was acting suspiciously in the store.

When officers approached the suspect’s getaway vehicle – the driver and his passengers tried taking off — but were later apprehended.

CBS 6 News is told one suspect ran into another store, stole clothes, changed into them and then tried eluding police.

That suspect was also later nabbed.
