Perhaps you thought anacondas this big only  existed as the stuff of Hollywood imaginations.

Well, if that was the case, this video will change your mind. And maybe give you nightmares.

The Brazilian boaters came across a monstrous snake and recorded the experience on camera. The boater prods the anaconda with his paddle, as his boating companions squeals and screams in the background.

At one point one man grabbed the tail and the crew proceeded to drag the snake through the muddy river until it thrashed and wriggled free.

The snake is not venomous, but it is a constrictor. The aquatic reptiles are typically large, with the green being the largest of the species identified as Eunectes murinus.

The green anaconda, the one you see in this video, are found east of the Andes in Colombia, Venezuela, the Guianas, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil and Trinidad and Tobago.
