Police are searching for Horace Thompson Owens Jr .

CULPEPER COUNTY, Va. — A full search wa s on for escaped inmate Horace Thompson Owens Jr., who escaped today from the Culpeper County Jail.

He was captured by law enforcement at 3:30 p.m. at Brandy Station.


Owens is a 33-year-old white male, 5’11”, 180 pounds,  with brown hair and brown eyes, tattoos on his left arm, chest, and back.

Owens was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and unknown color shorts.

Owens is charged with robbery, assault and battery, burglary, abduction, and forging bank notes, according to law enforcement.

Search teams are using police K9 and helicopter. Anyone with information is asked to call Culpeper dispatch at (540) 727-7900.
