RICHMOND, Va. — There are 20 remaining tickets (as of Saturday night) for Sunday’s Feast RVA dinner.

It will be the eleventh dinner arranged by the non profit group that works to help fund  projects by community artists, while providing a fun, networking event for all.

The idea is simple, FEAST attendees donate $25 for dinner at a local venue. Upon entry, participants receive a ballot with a list of proposals by local artists.

Throughout the night short presentations are given for each idea, after which attendees have the opportunity to discuss the proposals with the artist. At the conclusion of the night, ballots are cast, and the artist with the most votes receives around $500 comprised of a portion of the door money.

Started in 2009, the Brooklyn FEAST project has raised over $20,000 and inspired other events around the nation.

The ability to provide a substantial award to the chosen grantee hinges on selling out tickets, though. So if you’ve been thinking about attending an event, the time is nigh.  You can expect (if all tickets sell out) to join 50 people for a memorable event.

The food will be prepared by local restaurant Don’t Look Back (vegetarian/vegan options available ) and music will be by Haints in the Holler.

The presenters are:
1) Marilyn and Michelle – Breast Surgery Bed Toppers – Michelle Logan

2) Necessary Recycling – Vanessa Fore

3) Eastern Land Collective – Jordan Childs and Drew Dayberry

Tickets can be bought here: http://bit.ly/FeastRVATixFacebook page for Feast RVA.

The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, at the Black Iris Gallery on 321 W Broad Street.
