CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — An accident at the Cracker Barrel off Hull Street Road in Midlothian could keep the restaurant closed for a few days, a restaurant manager and Dominion Virginia Power workers on scene said.

A food delivery truck hit the restaurant at about 5:48 a.m. Thursday, they said. The impact damaged a boiler room in the back of the restaurant.

The crash damaged the restaurant’s water softener system.

Dominion Virginia Power had to cut off electricity to the restaurant until an insurance adjuster could come out and assess the damage.

No power means no refrigeration for the $20,000 worth of food that had just been unloaded.

Food stored in the restaurant’s freezer is also in jeopardy.

This is a developing story.

If your food taste weird when they repoen make sure it is not the same food that was on the truck. Did it make them think about when they fired that old gentlman for giving than ho.eless man some rolls. Mmm God don’t like uglyness

One has nothing to do with the other. the old geezer gave away stuff that wasn’t his to give away and got fired after repeated warnings. and I can honestly say Cracker Barrel isn’t going to serve the food that was ruined due to this. they don’t want their customers to get sick.

um no…they get plenty as they drive up in their Cadillac Escalades with their expensive rims talking on their I Phones.

Don’t forget the fresh done nails and hairdo…and the five kids with different daddies in the backseat.

When I first read the headline, I thought one of their typical 400 lbs. patrons passed gas and it ignited. Whew, glad nobody was injured. That place is the Wal-Mart of diners. There all the same, no character or distinction to be had. A rest stop vending machine has more authentic charm.

why cant they just bring in some generators to plug the refrigeration systems into in the meantime? idiots don’t think even for a second. no, instead lets just let it all go bad and just buy more because I’m sure they have plenty of money to burn while the rest us barely have gas to even get to work.

What good will a generator do? The power was intentionally shut off due to the damaged refrigeration system. Are you related to athynz?
