MATHEWS COUNTY, Va. -  Foul play does not appear to have been a factor in the shooting death of retired Virginia State Police Master Trooper T.E. Hudson, according to a report on WTKR.com.

Hudson's body was found inside a camper in Mathews County last Tuesday evening.

Police said the 53-year-old was working as a part-time deputy with the Mathews County Sheriff’s Office. He had only recently retired from the Virginia State Police.
