Chesterfield apartment fire deemed suspicious

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — The Chesterfield Fire Marshals and Police Department are investigating a “suspicious” weekend apartment fire.

The fire was reported Saturday, August 2, at 5:42 p.m. at 2130 Marina Drive.

“Fire crews arrived to find a light haze of smoke inside of one apartment and burnt debris inside of two closets,” Chesterfield Fire spokesman Lt. Jason Elmore said. “There was no damage to the structure and no injuries occurred.”
