RICHMOND, Va. -  Fan Appreciation Day brought out the biggest one-day crowd to the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center so far this training camp.

More than 20,000 fans gathered to get autographs and meet the Redskins. Fans from Richmond, as well as Washington D.C., North Carolina and Philadelphia battled the mud and the humidity to see their favorite player.

The team set-up this year's Appreciation Day differently from last year. Fan tickets were made available via lottery, not on the first come, first serve basis that overwhelmed the facility in 2013.

A standby line was designated near DMV Drive, so fans without tickets could still attend. Fans without lottery tickets were ushered into Fan Appreciation Day every 20 minutes.

Local food trucks vendors that paid $2,500 to serve food at camp, were allowed to move further up Leigh Street in an effort to make them more visible to fans.
