Driver identified in fatal accident involving three vehicles in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. - Richmond police were on scene of a three vehicle accident, where one person was confirmed dead.

According to Richmond Police, units received a call for an accident located on Castlewood and Bells road at  9:54p.m. Friday night.

Karl Conyers, 54, of Richmond, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Conyers was attempting a right-turn onto West Bells Road from Castlewood Road when he was struck by another vehicle travelling along West Bells Road. The driver of that vehicle has been hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

Charges are pending against the injured driver.

A third vehicle was involved, that driver did not suffer any injuries.

Police ask anyone with information of the crash to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
