A $75 million settlement reached between the NCAA and dozens of college athletes will change the way athletic teams handle players who suffer head injuries, the NCAA said Tuesday.

The settlement requires regulations that coaches must follow if an athlete has a head injury during a game or practice, and will prevent athletes from returning to a game after a concussion.

The $75 million will go to testing and research. The agreement conditions are subject to approval by Judge John Lee of U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
