LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Four families in California have been targeted in a disturbing pattern under investigation by authorities: porcelain dolls have been left at their homes resembling young girls who live there.
The girls, who are around 10 years old, attend the same elementary school, Orange County Sheriff’s Department Lt. Jeff Hallock said Thursday.
KTLA reports that the dolls were crafted to resemble the students were left in front of each of the girls’ homes, according to Hallock.
Three dolls were reported found in recent days and then a fourth on Wednesday, he said.
Photos provided by Hallock show two of the dolls — one in a blue dress and one in a pink dress. The latter doll was accompanied by a bunny wearing a pink bow and small white bunny slippers.
Officials said the case was under investigation and that no other information was immediately available.
