HOUSTON – A dad-to-be shot GoPro video of a frantic trip to the hospital after his wife went into labor.
“I can’t make it! I can’t make it,” the woman says in between screams on the video, but her husband drove on, trying to calm and reassure her.
Troy Dickerson got his wife Kristin to the hospital and he and a valet tried to get her to sit in a wheelchair, but the baby was already on the way.

“She had gotten out of the car and she had just froze, like stood there. And me and the valet guy were like, ‘Sit down! Sit down in the wheelchair!’” Troy told KPRC.
Only seconds after getting out of the car and while still standing, Kristin delivered baby Truett in front of the hospital with nurses by her side.
“I’m thrilled to have the footage,” Kristin told ABC News. “I’m more hesitant to send it to people, because it’s such an intimate moment for us, but as a birth educator, it’s really cool to let people see that our bodies know what to do.”
Kristin, who is a childbirth educator at the hospital, joked that she wouldn’t be sharing her experience with future students.
“I tell my students, ‘This will never happen to you, I promise!’ But I do teach them about emergency birth so they’ll be prepared for it, to take some of the fear out of it,” Kristin told KPRC.
