HICKORY, NC – A North Carolina mother said Facebook is threatening to ban her for life after she posted a photo of her daughters on the beach.

Mom Jill White said she had recreated the famous “Coppertone girl” photo with her 2-year-old daughter and the social media site deemed the image “pornographic.”

WBTV reported Facebook is now saying White is not facing a lifetime ban.

Facebook officials said an account must have multiple pieces of “reported” content deleted before the account is permanently disabled.

According to WBTV, Facebook said White’s photo was not removed because it was pornographic.

Facebook said the mother’s photo showed the girl’s nude bottom which falls under the social media’s policy for deletion.

According to Facebook’s Terms of Service, there is a “strict policy against the sharing of pornographic content and any explicitly sexual content where a minor is involved. We also impose limitations on the display of nudity. We aspire to respect people’s right to share content of personal importance.”
