RICHMOND, Va - Recent Richmond high school graduate Ellie Braun traveled to New York City to take a bow on stage at iconic Carnegie Hall and receive recognition for winning a Scholastic Art & Writing Portfolio Gold Medal Award, the highest honor in the Scholastic Awards, for her portfolio “Closet Queens.” The award comes with a $10,000 scholarship. Her artwork is currently on display at Parsons The New School for Design in Manhattan where she will be attending college in the fall.
