Memorial service announced for local pilot killed in North Carolina plane crash

RICHMOND, Va. -- A memorial service is scheduled for a local pilot that was killed when his plane went down in North Carolina.

Albert Orgain IV was a Goochland pilot, lawyer and decorated Army veteran. Orgain piloted the plane which left a Manakin Sabot location on Friday morning.  Orgain flew a Cessna registered to his home address.

The FAA said the pilot reported engine problems with the Cessna182Q around 10 a.m. and was diverted several times before the crash.

Services for Albert M. Orgain, IV will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 1:00 PM at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 6000 Grove Avenue in Richmond.
