CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. -- Between 150 and 200 teens broke into a Chesterfield home Thursday night and threw a house party, according to police.

After kicking down the door to the home, the party grew larger and larger as word spread through social media. Several hours after, the party-goers left the vacant house strewn with beer cans and what appears to be marijuana.

Police were called to the 6500 block of Regal Grove Lane about 10:30  p.m. to break up the party. Five teenagers, whose ranged in age from 15 - 17, were charged with trespassing.

The home, which was vacant, is recently purchased by L.J. Muchenje. Muchenje and his family were planning on moving in within two weeks.

"Just the feeling that somebody got into your space," Muchenje said. "What gives somebody the nerve to just get into someone's house? I was very disappointed."

It was soon determined that the house was vacant and the front door had been kicked in. Five juveniles, whose ages ranged from 15-17, were charged with trespassing. Aside from the damage to the front door, some window screens were damaged.

L.J. said he wants punishment and an apology from the teens.

"I just want some justice so they know what they did wasn't right."

Fran Foster is a neighbor from down the street. She came by the home to survey the aftermath of the party and said she was shocked.

"A lot of obscenities," Foster said. "Just brash behavior, just very bold."

Muchenje still plans to move in at the end of next month with his wife and three-year-old.

The investigation into the incident continues. Anyone with information should contact police or Crime Solvers at 748-0660.
