Two dead in fatal Florida plane crash

MERRITT ISLAND, Fl — Two people are dead after a plane crashed on Merritt Island on Monday night, Brevard County Fire Rescue officials said.

The plane crashed on Paula Avenue near a home and took out a power line, officials said. Two homes were left without power.

Incredibly no one on the ground was injured.

At this time the names of the victims have not been released. Officials with the he National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating.
