Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery opens in Short Pump

Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery

SHORT PUMP, Va. – The craft beer trend has flowed into Richmond’s most popular mall.

Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery opened June 2 at 11800 W. Broad St. near the food court at Short Pump Town Center.

Dale Nelson, Rock Bottom’s general manager, said the Denver-based chain spent about $3 million to transform the 8,500-square-foot space into the company’s 38th location. This will be the second Rock Bottom in Virginia, following a site in Arlington.

The restaurant rang up $9,500 in sales on its opening day, Nelson said. About 500 people stopped in to taste Rock Bottom’s beers, including a Kolsch, IPA, Belgian Wheat, Belgian Ale and Coffee Cream Stout.

Me too Ron. I’m going to let everyone who voted for it pay for it. If you do go out put drinks on a desperate tab otherwise food tax will be added to entire bill.
