UPDATE: Caleb Brinson, 18, was found unharmed this morning in Colonial Heights. Police are in the process of reuniting Brinson with his family. No foul play is suspected at this time.

HOPEWELL, Va. – Authorities are searching for an 18-year old last seen walking away from a Hopewell home Monday.

Hopewell Police said Caleb Brinson was with his grandfather when he vanished without a trace.

“This young man walked away from a church in Hopewell and is not from around the area. He has no phone, no email, no friends in the area, and has lived a rather sheltered life so his street skills are severely lacking,” Sgt. Kevin D. Johnson Sr. wrote in an email to CBS 6.

The pastor of the church police referenced said the family lives near the church, but was not at the church when the teen disappeared.

Police said the teen’s family members are terribly worried and have no idea where to look for him.

Brinson, who was homeschooled in Sussex County, is described as a white male about five feet one and around 114 pounds. He has blonde hair and green eyes.

If you have seen Brinson, or have information that could help investigators, call Hopewell police at 804-541-2222.
