Masked man takes $8,000 cash from victim outside Chesterfield bank

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. – Police are looking for the masked man who robbed another man outside the SunTrust Bank in the Bermuda Square at 12551 Jefferson Davis Highway.

“The victim was waiting to make a deposit at the bank when he was approached by a male subject who demanded money,” according to Chesterfield County/Colonial Heights Crime Solvers. “The victim complied and the suspect fled across Jefferson Davis Highway, making off with over $8,000 in cash.”

Police described the suspect as either a light-skinned black man or a white man. He wore black clothing and a black mask during the robbery. He may have gotten away in a Cadillac, police said.

The crime happened at 6:45 a.m. on March 24. It is the Chesterfield-Colonial Heights Crimesolvers Crime of the Week. Anyone with information is asked to call Chesterfield County or Colonial Heights Crime Solvers at 804-748-0660.
