RICHMOND, Va. – More than one month after a dog bit a teenager on her legs, the Richmond City Health District put out an alert for the animal and its owner.

The dog, described as a white pit bull named Snoop,  attacked the 17-year-old along the 1400 block of Minefee Street on April 20, a health official said in an email. The health district said it was important to find the dog so they could determine if it has rabies.

“It is reported that the dog escaped from its backyard at 1424 Minefee Street,” health officials said in an email. ” The Richmond Health District has made an exhaustive attempt to locate the dog owner, Mr. Rahmel Harris and the evasive dog.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Richmond City Health District at 804-205-3503 or email kenneth.smith@vdh.virginia.gov.
