HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — A former Henrico teacher convicted of sexual battery against members of his own family will not go to prison, but will have to register as a sex offender.

Those are the terms of a plea agreement that Anthony Crowder entered into Wednesday.

The 40-year-old Godwin High School teacher was arrested last year, and charged with two counts of sexual battery charges that stemmed from the 1980s.

Prosecutors had said that he was a teenager when he inappropriately touched two underage relatives.

Crowder, who will also have to be evaluated by a psychologist, will be on probation for the next 20 years.
