Richmond women arrested carrying hundreds of heroin packets, stun gun on I-95

EXETER, Rhode Island (WTVR) – Two Richmond women were arrested and charged following a May 17 traffic stop on Interstate 95 in Rhode Island.

The car was speeding near the town of Exeter, Rhode Island State Police said.

“During the ensuing investigation, troopers seized 252 glassine packets of suspected heroin,” Rhode Island State Police Superintendent Colonel Steven G. O’Donnell said.

Driver Joshe Jones, 19, of P Street, was charged with Possession of Heroin, Possession of Heroin with Intent to Deliver and Operating with a Suspended License.

Passenger Audrey Chappelle, 23, of Balsam Road, was charged with a weapons violations after police said she was carrying a “stun gun.”

Both women were being held pending Monday court hearings.
