Truck driver killed on Interstate 95

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - A tractor-trailer driver was killed when his big rig hit a sign pole on I-95 south near the I-295 interchange near the Atlee-Elmont exit (mile marker 86). The crash happened about 2 a.m.

All lanes of Interstate 95 reopened by 6 a.m.

Virginia State Police are investigating what caused the truck driver to crash. Heavy rain was pouring down across Central Virginia at the time of the accident.

The truck driver's name has not yet been released.
