RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) — Some Richmond high school students are planning a peaceful walk-out protest to get Mayor Dwight Jones and city council members’ attention.
The students believe city leaders should fully fund the budget requested from the school board for improvements and repairs.
The students plan to walk from the Open High School on Oregon Hill to city hall at 9 a.m. Monday morning
Richmond City Council is expected to vote on a budget May 31.
