CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR)- Chesterfield County created a unique re-enactment of the Bermuda hundred civil war battle.

This weekend more than 4 hundred re-enactors from dozens of states are at the clover hill athletic complex will immerse themselves in the year 1864, allowing the public to watch.

"The goal of the event is simply to bring an immersion experience for the public, we want people to see what the civilians and army looked like in the field, not manicured, not groomed. " said  John Pagano, Re-enactment Coordinator.

It took six months to make this weekend's re-enactment a reality, which is about 15 miles from where the actual fighting took place.
