There is a slight risk of severe weather across the area until later this evening.  The main threat from the storms will be large hail and damaging wind gusts.  The threat for brief tornadoes is not high, but cannot be completely ruled out.  The threat for severe weather is a bit higher closer to the North Carolina border.
