HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Police are reminding pet owners to make sure their animals are up to date on rabies vaccinations after a rabid skunk was found in a Henrico backyard.

“On Monday, April 21, 2014, Henrico Police Animal Protection received a call for service for a dog playing with a deceased skunk in the citizen’s backyard.  This incident occurred in the 7600 Block of Dowdy Drive, not far from Yahley Mill Road and Darbytown Road,” Henrico Police spokeswoman Lt.
