This all started when officers were called out around 4:30 p.m. last Tuesday to a disturbance inside a home in the 200 block of Kentucky Avenue.

That’s where officers discovered 40-year-old Ronald Glover Sr. shot. Officials said Glover later died from his injuries at Southside Regional Medical Center Tuesday evening.

Police said an argument likely prompted the gunfire, but officials said the shooting’s motive is still being investigated.

Detectives have strong leads, but are asking for the public’s help with the case.

Jules Moultrie III was arrested and charged with murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Moultrie is being held without bond in Petersburg City Jail.

“Coordination with the U.S. Marshal Regional Task Force may have contributed to Moultrie’s surrender,” Petersburg police spokesperson Esther Hyatt said in a news release.
