PLAY BALL: Opening Day in RVA

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – It is Opening Day in RVA. The Richmond Flying Squirrels take the field at the Diamond for the first time in 2014 Thursday night.

The Diamond opens to fans at 4: 30 p.m, first pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.

“There’s nothing like Opening Day in Minor League Baseball,” Squirrels vice-president Todd “Parney” Parnell said. “This is my 25th one in my career. There is just something special in the air about it. Thankfully tonight is going to be great weather.”
