SUFFOLK, Va. (WTVR) — A threat at a Virginia elementary school is under investigation after police said a 10-year-old girl used a pencil sharpener to threaten another student.

It happened Friday at Booker T. Washington Elementary in Suffolk. However, many parents said they just learned about the incident on Tuesday.

School leaders said the girl took the sharpener apart and used the blade to intimidate another student.

Police said no one was hurt and that school leaders called both sets of parents.

There has been no word if the 10-year-old will face charges, but the child was reportedly suspended from school.
