HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Henrico Police arrested a 20-year-old man at a North Henrico hotel for possessing marijuana and keeping a bawdy place.

Police were called to a motel on Brook Rd. near Azalea Ave. Tuesday afternoon to investigate a tip of “suspicious activity,” Henrico Police spokeswoman Lt. Linda Toney said.

“Officers had contact with Donald Christopher James, who was staying in one of the hotel rooms,” Toney said. “Marijuana was found in the room.”

Further investigation led to the “Keeping a Bawdy Place” charge.

According to Virginia code, “bawdy place shall mean any place within or without any building or structure which is used or is to be used for lewdness, assignation or prostitution.”
