BROOKLYN, NY (WTVR) -- VCU pulled away from George Washington in the second half to win 74-55 and play in the conference title game.

The Rams will face St. Joseph Sunday at 1pm on CBS without reigning sixth man of the year Melvin Johnson, who injured his left knee early in the first half.

Treveon Graham scored a game high 22 points and Briante Weber added 16 for VCU.

With the victory, Shaka Smart tops the most wins by a VCU coach with 137.

CBS 6 Sports Director Lane Casadonte has been court side and tweeted, "I (Smart) haven't seen a coach yet who breaks a record that didn't do it without great players."

I would like to express my appreciation to Ch. 6 for putting the game on the air today. There are people who do not have the bells and whistles of cable and who cannot afford to go to bars or anywhere else to see the game. I am a VCU graduate and very much enjoy being able to see the game in the privacy of my home. I look forward to watching the game today instead of having to listen to the game on the radio with no visuals. I hope that you will consider coverage of the local collegiate games from this point forward. Bring home that trophy RAMS!
