RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) — CBS 6 Storm Team Meteorologist Carrie Rose says we’ll reach the upper 50s to around 60 degrees Friday afternoon.
“Saturday is my pick to be outdoors this weekend, which is timely considering the variety of outdoor festivals and events! You’ll notice more cloud-cover Saturday, but also milder weather, with highs reaching the mid to upper 60s,” Rose said.
Sunday morning and early afternoon will be dry, but skies will become overcast with rain arriving from southwest to northeast during the mid-afternoon and evening hours.
Colder air will move into the region Sunday night, changing the rain to sleet in central Virginia overnight. A wintry mix will continue through Monday, with a changeover to snow before ending Monday night. Temperatures Monday will fall through the day, with slippery conditions likely on untreated surfaces.
