PATERSON, NJ (WTVR) — A New Jersey man is facing charges after police said his two-year-old son was found carrying packets of heroin at a daycare center.

According to officers, a teacher at Michael’s Energy Factory found 48 small envelopes of heroin in the boy’s jacket Monday.

Police do not believe the child even knew the drugs were there.

The boy’s father, 27-year-old Phillip Young, has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Young’s bail was set at $85,000.
