No budget agreement — and General Assembly session ends Saturday

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Lawmakers are still at odds over the budget as the last day of this year’s General Assembly session nears.

The Richmond Times-Dispatchreports Gov. Terry McAuliffe plans to call a special session for March 24 if the Senate and House cannot come to an agreement by the close of session Saturday.

The dueling opinions Democrats and Republicans have about whether to accept federal funds to expand Medicaid are a major hold-up.
