PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WTVR)--With the temperature hoovering around freezing on Tuesday Morning, Prince George County School Superintendent Dr. Bobby Browder was out cleaning the sidewalk in front of the school board office.

Dr. Browder, like all School Superintendents in Central Virginia right now, is concerned that they need "the face to face instructional time with kids."

Two days missed this week, on top of the days missed from past snow storms.

Now school boards across Central Virginia will have to decide if and how days will be made up. But with Spring Break and Memorial Day coming up, some parents are concerned those days may be used to make up time if needed.

Dr. Browder said that most school systems understand some parents have already made vacation plans, and Spring Break and or Memorial Day would be a last resort situation if time had to be made up.

Dr. Browder says one idea that some school districts may consider, is adding on 30 minutes or so, at the end of each school day, which would help make up lost time and also help build up bank time as well.
