Petersburg substitute teacher on leave after explicit video played in class

PETERSBURG, Va. (WTVR)–A substitute teacher at a Petersburg High School was dismissed after the principal was told an explicit video was playing in the classroom, according to the school district spokesperson.

School leaders and authorities are investigating and the teacher has been suspended pending the investigation.

School district administrators won’t say which school was involved, how many students were in the class, or what grade the students are in.
