HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR)-The alleged crime happened on January 20, and now, a month later, police are arming the public with a surveillance snap shot, hoping for information in return.

At the Short Pump Nordstrom store, two teenage girls told police they saw something unfitting in the fitting room.

"I would not want my child in a dressing room if a male was allowed in," said Sarah Gentry who was shopping in the West End Friday.

Henrico Police are looking for the man in the surveillance photo.  They believe he was the one creeping around the dressing room in the West End retail store and they want to know why.

Shoppers say what's sad, is stories like this are becoming part of the norm.

"It's reality that we have to be watchful and careful,"  Dolores Orange said as she shopped Friday afternoon.

CBS-6 crime expert and author Steve Neal says by police will more than likely get this man after the picture airs, especially if he's local.

"Once  you put it up on TV,” Neal said.  “It's very likely someone will share information that will lead to an arrest."

Meanwhile Chesterfield Police just announced the arrest of a man caught recording  "upskirting" images on his cell phone at Kohl’s on Valentine’s Day.  The timing of that case is shedding more light on a trending crime.

Henrico hopes for a quick arrest in their case, too.

"Up until a few years ago, you couldn't do this kind of thing,” said Neal. “But with cell phones the way they are and almost all of them having recording devices,  It's a very real problem nowadays. That's why you've seen the legislature take a look at it and come out with new laws."

If you recognize the man in the photo, or if you feel this man has watched you at Short Pump Town Center, police say call their Crime Stoppers tip line at 780-1000.
