RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) -- One woman said she will never forget what she saw moments after a horrific triple shooting outside a Richmond convenience store Tuesday night.
The woman, who asked to remain anonymous, spoke with CBS 6 News reporter Shelby Brown about what went through her mind while she was inside the Fine Food Market.

“I was digging through my purse when all of a sudden I heard a whole bunch of gunshots, like twelve gunshots,” the woman said.
She and another customer in the store ducked for cover and the manager ushered them behind the counter where they stayed for several minutes.
But then panic set it and the woman worried that the shooter would come inside of the store and continue firing.
When the door opened, she said she saw two victims run inside. One was an adult man and the other was a little boy.
“He was crying. His mom was screaming, "My son is shot.' She lifted up his shirt and we saw the gunshot wound," she said.
Her nerves were rattled even more when she realized how badly the man was hurt.
“He kept saying ah, 'Call my mom. Ah, I need an ambulance. Ah, I’ve been shot'” the woman added.
She said she was relieved when police arrived. Once she gave her account to police, she was anxious to go home to her own child.
Additionally, she said she was thankful that she did not allow her child to go with her to the store that day. Just before she headed out to the convenience store, her two-year-old had begged to go with her.
A day after the shooting, many neighbors in that community were reluctant to speak with the news media. They’re still shaken by the violence and are reminded by the heavy police presence around the store.
Neighbor David Breman was upset to learn that one of the victims is so young.
“If that happened to them, it could happen to anybody. I want to get out of this area,” Breman said.
As police detectives work to find whoever pulled the trigger, the customer said she is praying for the hospitalized victims.
“The young boy, I’ve been thinking about him since last night. I was so scared. I felt nervous and this morning I did, too. Now I’m a little better. I just want whoever did this to come forth and admit to their wrongdoing,” she said.
Richmond police said the three victims suffered non-life threatening injuries.
