RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - After a clear, cold start to your Monday, you’ll notice high clouds streaming over us through the day ahead of an approaching storm system.

That approaching disturbance will swing over the Mid-Atlantic late Monday night through sunrise Tuesday. I expect a winter mix in the Commonwealth, with snow in the northwest third of the state, a mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain in the central third (including the Richmond Metro), and rain in the southeast third of the state.

The rest of the work week will be warmer with highs in the 60s Wednesday and Thursday, and the 70s on Friday.
